Glasgow's Epee Fencing Club and Archery Club in Maryhill

A party with a difference...

Whether your child is a born knight, pirate or princess, Braveheart Fencing offers a unique experience for your child's birthday party.

Let their imagination run wild to create a great adventure of their own design! Pick a theme and your child can dress up with their friends as Knights, Pirates, Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Vikings, Romans, Celts, Picts or anything else of their choice!

We aim to cater for all ages and abilities and children will use rubber swords (purchased from Palnatoke) for team games and one-on-one challenges. For older children there is the option to try out some metal fencing swords too. There will even be the opportunity to look at real antique swords (under supervision)!

If your child loves Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings or Braveheart your child's party is sure to be one to remember.

The cost is £10 per child with a minimum charge of £60 per party.

Included in the price are:
Up to 1 hour 30 minutes* of fencing/sword games and activities,

*We can run parties for up to 1.5 hours including arrival, introduction and packing up, however, in our experience this can sometimes be too long for some younger children. Fencing can be tiring and we advise you that the optimum time for a party can be anywhere from 50 minutes to the full 1.5 hours. What we recommend is that you plan for the full time but realise that tired children can be grumpy children (as I am sure you know!) and be prepared to leave early if the children lose their enthusiasm. We all want the children to have lots of fun and for the party to end on a high note.

Venue requirements
The space required in order to run a party can vary depending on the number of participants, however, in the past we have mostly run parties in scout halls, school halls, church halls and community centres. Sports venues are also spacious enough but often have more rules and regulations than other places. We are happy to travel up to an hours drive from Glasgow to run the party but any distances further than this will incur additional travel costs.
If you do not have a venue in mind or cannot find somewhere to run the party then we can offer the use of our hall in Glasgow. We do not
provide food or drinks but there is a McDonalds near our venue. If you want to eat in our venue that is not a problem, we can provide seats but we do not have any tables. Please ensure that children bring a jumper or jacket to wear before and after the party if you choose this option as our hall is not heated,
Please be aware that if you choose to eat in our venue and this runs over your time slot then we may have other bookings coming in. If this is the case then you are welcome to continue to use half of the hall for eating but for safety reasons the children should not interfere with the next session. If you wish to book extra time for eating to avoid this situation then this may incur additional costs.

Please contact me to discuss your individual requirements.
